HOW TO MEASURE

What You'll Need

Metal tape measure
Pen or pencil
Paper
Empty Space Example
You've chosen the Lotus and Windoware blinds for your living space. Now it's time to measure your windows so you can order the right size.

  • For an outside mount, this will be measured a bit differently. First, measure the width of the window opening at the top, middle, and bottom from outside edge to outside edge. Record the widest measurement of the surface that you would like to cover.
Depending on where you are mounting the blind, you will want to add at least a minimum of one half inch to your measurement.

*Lotus supplies products in increments of whole and half-inch measurements. Be sure to order the available stock size closest to your measurement. The next size up will work as an outside mount will be outside of the window frame.*

  • Then, measure the height of the window opening at the left, middle, and right. Record the longest measurement; this will be the height to order.
  • If you are mounting above a window frame, you will need to add two to four inches to the height.
If the size you recorded is not a stock size, a blind longer than your recorded measurement will work as the blind can be stopped at any position within the window frame.
